Island Optics Upgrades Facility with Exciting Renovations

We've been hard at work here at Island Optics, and we're thrilled to share some exciting news with you. Our facility is undergoing significant renovations, and we can't wait to show you what we've been up to.

Going Up: A Vertical Expansion

One of the most remarkable aspects of our facility is the ample vertical space, and we've decided to make the most of it. We're proud to announce we've expanded our building by adding not one, but two new storeys, bringing our vision to life.

First Floor: A Hub of Efficiency and Comfort

The new first floor is set to become a dynamic and central part of our workspace. We're relocating our office space, Shipping department, canteen, toilets and even a brand-new shower room here. This move is all about enhancing efficiency and providing comfortable and convenient workspace for our dedicated team.

Second Floor: Optimising Resources

Our new second floor is where you'll find a transformation focused on resource optimisation. We've shifted all our consumables, raw materials, and packaging materials to this floor. This strategic decision improves our supply chain management, enabling us to serve you better with increased responsiveness, quality control and inventory management.

Ground Floor: Expansion and Enhancements

With the two new levels almost fully operational, our ground floor is undergoing a transformation of its own. We're excited to nearly double our production space. Additionally, we're introducing another workshop to house double-sider grinding and polishing machines, as well as another 24-inch polishing machine, and an engineering room on the first floor to enhance our production capabilities.

A Focus on Staff Wellbeing

At Island Optics, we understand that our team's wellbeing is vital for delivering exceptional products and services. That's why we are delighted to announce the creation of an in-house gym for our staff. This addition reflects our commitment to nurturing a healthy and motivated team who can deliver their best each day.

As our renovation project nears its completion, we're eager to share the results with you. These changes signify our dedication to providing top-notch optical solutions, and we're confident that our upgraded facility will help us better serve your needs with even more precision and quality.
